Chair Yoga Classes

PRICING AND DURATION

Depending on the class type, it can range anything from 35 to 45 minutes.

Classes cost R480 per month for as many as you’d like, or you can drop in for R80 per class. All online classes are on Google Meet (which requires no app download).

Your first class, however, is free for you to try out.

All you’ll need is a sturdy chair with a back, and a rolled-up blanket. Depending on your flexibility and mobility range, it may be useful to have a yoga strap or scarf.


CLASSES

Root

This class is a perfect introduction and starting point for those with low mobility. If you are using a walker or require additional mobility assistance, then this class is great for increasing your upper body strength, stretching muscles, nurturing your spine and adding flexibility around your entire core.

Release

If you have more mobility and don’t require a walker, for example, then this class takes things up a notch for you. We still work the main muscle groups and look to adding strength and flexibility, though now we add more complexity and movement.

Align

This is a perfect class for people with high mobility, who move unassisted and want to add a good workout during their week. We delve further into strengthening your core, and add more emphasis to your legs and improving your balance. Expect to sweat a little more!

Nurture

This is a speciality class and designed for those using a wheelchair, or similar lower mobility. Our focus will be on improving upper body strength, spine health, and flexibility. We may incorporate some elements from Load, depending upon your needs.

Sync

Sync is a flow for office workers and others who spend a lot of time sitting at desks or similar for long periods of time. We focus on stretching and releasing tension in the neck, shoulders, upper to lower back, and hips, for relief and focus.
