An ESP course is one designed for quite specific reasons, usually professional. An example is, of course, Business English.
Because English is so widely used in the world, English courses are useful for a wide range of professions, including nurses, doctors, lawyers, mining engineers, arline staff, finance, and many industries and jobs that require an understanding of technical terms in English. Computer science and IT-related jobs are included, of course, along with tourism and hotel management. The possibilities are near endless.
Along with the needs for a profession come your needs for academic English. English for Academic Purposes (EAP) meet the needs of students wishing to go into higher education in an English-speaking country.
I assist you in learning and mastering the type of language and vocabluary you will need for your particular profession or field of study. Ideally, you would normally have a good grounding in English before embarking on an ESP course, and I help to bridge any gaps you may find between your current level and the skils you require.
